Who stars in the South African thriller series?

On March 29, Netflix dropped a six-part thriller series called Unseen, and I’d say it’s worth checking out if you’re in the mood for a show that’s suspenseful and something that will keep you guessing. It will definitely have you on the edge of your seat from the very beginning to the end.

Netflix is constantly adding more and more South African content to its platform, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Unseen is the streamer’s latest South African series created by Travis Taute and Daryne Joshua. Like many other Netflix originals, Unseen is an adaptation of another piece of work. It’s adapted from the Turkish Netflix series Fatma by Özgür Önurme.

In addition, Gambit Films is the production company behind the show. This is the same company behind the popular South African teen series Blood & Water.

The show follows Zenzi Mwale, a house cleaner desperately searching for her husband who went missing after being released from prison. While trying to uncover her missing husband’s whereabouts, Zenzi finds herself navigating a dangerous criminal underworld. Now, who plays the role of the protagonist? What about the other characters? Gail Mabalane leads the cast as Zenzi Mwale. If you’re a fan of Blood & Water, you might recognize her as the actress who plays Puleng’s mother, Thandeka Khumalo. However, she’s also had roles in the South African TV shows The Wild, The Road, Generations: The Legacy, The Imposter and Rockville. In addition, Mabalane had roles in the movies Zion and Indemnity.

Vuyo Dabula portrays Max Mwale, Zenzi’s missing husband. He’s known for his previous roles in Netflix’s Queen Sono, Generations: The Legacy, Shaft 6, Five Fingers for Marseilles and Collision.
