Nábrók, also called necropants or corpse britches, are a pair of pants made from a dead person’s skin that, in accordance with Icelandic witchcraft, have the ability to produce an endless stream of money. It is quite unlikely that these pants ever existed outside of legend.

Nabrok Museum
On the east side of Iceland’s Westfjords region, in the village of Hólmavk, is a well-liked museum that you should see while you’re there. In Icelandic, this museum is known as “Galdrasafni,” which translates as “Museum of Sorcery and Witchcraft.” The museum is spread across two storeys and depicts the history of sorcery, which was allegedly effective in Iceland’s Strandir region. Even after numerous visits, I still feel the chills when I’m inside the museum among the zombies, milk-sucking monsters, and magical scabbards. The museum is not for the faint of heart. One of the many magical staves and one of Iceland’s most effective staves is the “Angurgapi” in my photo up above. However, it seems so innocent.
