When is Dawson's Creek leaving Netflix? (May 2022)

When Dawson’s Creek came to Netflix in 2020, fans of the classic teen drama series rejoiced. One of the most influential teen series of the late ’90s start streaming and offered up a much-needed dose of nostalgia. Unfortunately, that walk down memory lane will soon end.

Dawson’s Creek premiered on The WB in January 1998 and ended in May 2003 after six dramatic and thought-provoking seasons. The series centers on a group of friends coming of age in Capeside, Massachusetts with ups, downs, and love triangles to spare.

The WB’s fan-favorite launched its four main leading stars into superstardom: James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, and Michelle Williams. Dawson’s Creek also starred Mary-Margaret Humes, John Wesley Shipp, Mary Beth Peil, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, Meredith Monroe, and Busy Philipps.

But how much longer do Dawson’s fans have with the series on Netflix? Here’s when the timeless classic teen drama series will leave Netflix.

As reported by What’s on Netflix, Dawson’s Creek will be leaving Netflix on May 1, 2022, which will have the series departing the streamer just under two years after arriving.

If you’re looking for more blasts from the past on Netflix, add shows like Gilmore Girls, Seinfeld, Moesha, and Sister, Sister to your watch list. But if you just need some more teen content, check out Ginny & Georgia, Julie and the Phantoms, and All American.

Luckily, when Dawson’s Creek leaves Netflix at the top of May, fans of the series won’t be completely without their favorite show. Dawson’s will continue to stream on both HBO Max and Hulu for the time being, though there’s no word on the show’s streaming future.

However, if you’re not a subscriber of those two streaming services, then you still have less than a month to sneak in a binge-watch as of April 4. Fingers crossed the series will someday return to Netflix with the real theme song from the get-go.
