Josh Duhamel is hosting a new reality series on CBS called Buddy Games, which premiered on Sept. 14, 2023. And if you think back to 2019, you’ll remember that the actor directed, co-wrote, and starred in a movie of the same name. So is the film streaming on Netflix?
The new show features six teams of four that are made up of “lifelong friends,” per the synopsis. The groups have to complete mental and physical challenges for the chance to win $200,000 at the end of the competition.

Buddy Games starring Josh Duhamel is not streaming on Netflix. To watch the film, you’re going to have to head over to Hulu to do so. The streaming service runs at $7.99/month with ads or $14.99/month without ads. There’s also a sequel, Buddy Games: Spring Awakening, that was released in May 2023. The second production is streaming on both Hulu and Paramount+.
The comedy is centered around six friends who reunite to play in the buddy games, per the synopsis. It’s basically the same premise as the new reality series. The movie shows the group of friends facing challenges to win $150,000.
