Linda Diane Creed was an American songwriter and lyricist. She was born on December 6, 1948, and passed away on April 10, 1986. She was also known by her married name, Linda Epstein. Creed was a music enthusiast at Germantown High School, where he attended after being born in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia in December 1948.
Creed made the decision not to continue her education after high school and instead focused on songwriting and music production after making the decision. It was in 1970 when singer Dusty Springfield recorded her song “Free Girl” which was the turning point in her career.

On April 10, 1986, at the age of 37, Creed passed away as a result of breast cancer. She is survived by her two kids, Roni Lee and Dana Creed, as well as her husband, Stephen “Eppy” Epstein, who was active in the music promotion industry in and around Philadelphia for many years.
