The event for the movie had only started 20 minutes prior when the 48-year-old checked his phone and saw he had a call from the youngster’s school. He asked if it was okay for him to leave and explained the reason for his abrupt absence to the audience.

Brad said to the crowd: “So sorry. The school nurse just called me. Can I just leave the room for a second to call them back and you can keep going. Is that all right?”

He continued by saying Lea’s school was a “10-minute walk” from the building in which the press conference was being held.

After being asked if it was “one of the best things” the movie star could do, he responded: “And for me. It’s for me too. It just makes life much better.
